Sight of summer

The Sight of Summer

Remember watching the birds
chirp their peaceful song
way up high in the tree.
Remember the blue skies
with the fluffy cotton clouds.

Remember the elegant butterflies
fluttering around the swan plants.
The pool water glittering in the sun
the water was clear as glass,
Remember sprinting across the boiling hot sand.

Remember the day when the wind blew
and the leaves tumbled down from the tree.
That was summer

I love how you said "fluffy cotton clouds". You inspired me to use that in my writing!
